Brief Introduction: The Cohiba Siglo I Cigar was introduced in 1994 alongside the other four in the Siglo series to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Colombus’ discovery of the New World! On his exploration, Colombus discovered an ancient tradition of the indigenous people called ‘Cohiba’.

Flavours: The unique ‘extra fermentation’ that is conducted on the Seco and Legero of all Cohibas lasts for eighteen months and is conducted at the factory in cedar barrels. This extra age creates a unique taste. The famous Cohiba flavour is most often described as ‘Grassy’, although others have noticed tones of vanilla, cocoa, and coffee.

Synopsis: In summary, overall a great quick smoke with classic Cohiba flavour.

Description

This little cigar is a triumph of its genre and in tune with the times. It offers a steady and even burn. The blend is typical Cohiba Siglo line, beany and spicy, but the Siglo I surprisingly also plays with touches of saltiness. This Tres Petit Corona is a relaxing and fresh cigar that enjoys sharing its blend with the smoker. The more experienced aficionado will get more out of the blend, but this cigar can be enjoyed by all.

The Siglo I was introduced in 1992 as part of the new Linea 1492 series. Exceptional construction, with an even and balanced burn and loaded with mild creamy sweetness, lead to this Très Petit Corona quickly becoming very popular. This remains a medium bodied cigar and therefore will get better with 4/5 years aging.
